Project Brief:

The brief was to re-commission the existing interactive water feature at Aldgate Square, which had been out of action since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak. The feature had not been operational for quite some time and needed a complete deep clean and re-commissioning to its former entertaining self.

 Method:

By removing all he drainage grating from Aldgate Square we are able to then clear all the accumulated debris out of the installation and replace all filters, re-balance the chemical dosing, chlorinate all pipework for effective disinfection and then test the water quality to ensure all maintenance and Health & Safety standards are met. The DMX controlled jets had to be commissioned, this in itself is imperative to keep the  display program in sync. before turning the feature back on.

Result:

One of the City of London’s most sensitively designed, tranquil and secluded public spaces, was back to its full glory and being appreciated by the local residents and working community alike. The interactive jumping jets with incorporated laminate lighting, which create an amazing night time illusion, are once again delighting everyone and contributing to this lush and relaxing urban space being used and enjoyed all year round.
